Drawing, Design, and Printmaking
Hay's prints and drawings show the full range of his evolution as an artist. His earliest surviving mature works are primarily lithographic prints he completed in graduate school, and his later drawings and digital designs show him working with similar subject matter, if in new form. He incorporated pieces of his sculpture and design work into his drawings and prints, offering windows into a surreal paracosm of his own imagination. Other pieces exhibit more straightforward and beautifully-accomplished portraits of family members or animals.
