Ceramic Sculpture
Using clay imprinted with his Butterfly, Acrobat, and other designs, Hay produced a variety of highly textured and dynamic sculptures that he then hand-painted in acrylic to produce startling and vivid surfaces. He also created unique reliefs using ceramic, tile, and stone. Most of Hay's ceramic work dates from the last decade of his career.
